Dr. Spicer is an expert in a variety of procedures, both cosmetic and reconstructive. A cosmetic procedure's main goal is to improve the patient's appearance, and it is usually not covered by medical insurance. Reconstructive surgery is generally used to repair visible damage from an injury, another surgery, or an issue that has been present since birth. Reconstructive surgery, which often restores the function of some body part, is generally covered by health insurance. Some procedures can be either reconstructive or cosmetic, depending on the patient's circumstances. These require special consideration from the health insurance company.

Dr. Spicer is trained in complex hand reconstruction surgery. He is also proficient at many cosmetic procedures, including breast augmentation, liposuction and facial surgeries for men and women,and reconstruction after skin cancer.
